SERVICES
OVERVIEW
Finding focus recognizes that each client has a unique set of needs. In turn, services are customized to client age, challenges, and long term objectives.

At the end of a support cycle all clients should have a new sense of control over their time and materials and a specific tool kit to help problem-solve and set goals.
SUPPORT CYCLES
Responsive Support
For individuals/families with pressing challenges, responsive support cycles begin with short-term problem solving. Once progress has been made towards addressing immediate issues and concerns, sessions can expand to address more holistic and long-term executive function skill development.
Foundations Development (12 Sessions)
For individuals/families that want to develop strong executive function skills but do not have a specific set of immediate problems to address, this set of 12 coaching sessions is designed to build a strong foundation for long-term success. Sessions focus on concrete strategies and tools for managing time, planning, and organization along with age-appropriate concepts to support positive identity development.

Summer Setup for Success (4-6 Sessions)
Summer sessions help students build strategies and skills, while academic demands are lower. These sessions are designed to ease transition to new grades. They can be stand alone or accompanied by fall support.
MEETING TYPES AND FORMATS
Discovery Call
A complimentary consultation to determine if the Finding Focus approach is right for you. Please allow for 20-30 minutes.

After the discovery call, if we move forward, Finding Focus will collect and review materials (e.g., at home assessments, IEPs) and develop a preliminary coaching plan, for a one time fee prior to beginning regular sessions.

Regular Sessions
Weekly one-on-one in-person (in Washington DC area) or online coaching sessions. Sessions may include assessment, review of progress and current needs, strategy development, and goal setting. Weekly written progress reports will be provided.
On-the-go sessions
Some clients regulate best through movement. Offered in the Washington DC area, On-the-Go sessions combine walking, hiking, and intentional executive function work, while clients are in a receptive emotionally regulated state.

Check-ins
Each session includes a follow-up email or text message check-in to encourage follow-through with the weekly plan. This can be with the client or a family member, depending on age.

Family Meetings
Depending on client age and needs, these meetings take place every 4 to 8 weeks to discuss progress, set expectations, and develop goals.
